Listing Appointment Steps: What Every Home Seller MUST Know!

You have been thinking about selling your home but are overwhelmed and have no idea where to begin. Here are 3 things you can expect at your listing appointment.

Before we can make any recommendations, we need to know what’s happening in your life. So Step #1 is:

(1) Discuss your timing + why you are selling…this discussion gives us the information we need for steps 2 and 3. You may not know precisely when you want to sell or what exactly comes next, but you do have a couple ideas in mind. Let’s explore those. Let’s work through the various scenarios to find the one that suits you best.

Now that we have framework for what you want your next phase to look like, we move on to Step #2.

(2) The walkthrough – we walk through your home with you to identify any areas for repair, staging, or improvement. Where we landed in Step 1 will play into our recommendations here. We will not only make a list of anything that needs to be touched up, staged, or repaired we will actually MANAGE the work so you don’t need to do a thing.

Now we know what the finished product will look like and we can move onto everyone’s favorite Step…#3.

(3) Pricing – your timing and comfort level with the recommended work will inform pricing. This is where we will look over homes that have sold near you that are in similar condition to what yours will be. We’ll work with you to set a range that accomplishes your goals and then we’re off to work!
